I don't get to make quilts very often because 1. I don't have enough money running around and 2. I don't need any more quilts. So my future mother in law has given me some red white and blue fabric she has. The pattern is pretty simple but it'll serve it's purpose. And none of those dreadful triangles to deal with! When I'm done piecing it together I'm going to give it back to her and she'll quilt it. After that it'll be sent off to a hospital and given to a wounded soldier.
I have learned a valuable lesson from working on this quilt, and that lesson is: triangles are hard! Wow. I had no idea. This is only the second quilt I've made, but the first one was much easier and looked so much better. That said, the quilt still looks pretty good, especially for my first quilt that's all triangles.
I hope he likes it. I know I kind of want to keep it for myself.Last night Sarah, Anthony (our latest name for the network assistant), and I watched Holysmoke!
It's about how Kate Winslet joined a cult and was brainwashed, and her family tries to de-brainwash her but it sort of re-brainwashes her. It was pretty terrible, I wouldn't reccomend it.Tonight we will be watching The Lathe of Heaven, based on an Ursula K. Leguin story. We shall see if it is good.
Sarah won 2nd place in our school's pictures from abroad contest in the people category, because she is awesome. I am very proud. I will post the picture here once there is a copy of it online.
Also, I believe I received an A on my molecular biology test, possibly 100%, I knew all of the content on it. I worked very hard for that grade and I have never received a grade that high on an upper division test, so I spoiled myself, or Paisley rather, today.
I almost forgot! Provolone is now my official favorite cheese!
