Show us someone who inspires you
I know I didn't take this picture, and it wasn't taken today, but this is a woman who really inspires me. Her name is Rosalind Franklin, and she did all the work involved in solving the DNA double helix, while the "little boys" Watson and Crick played their game. Her perseverence and attitude are truly inspirational. In my mind Rosalind's story serves as a reminder to me of how I should and should not choose to act both professionally and scientifically.
Tragically, she died just a few years before the Nobel prize would have been awarded to her, Watson, Crick, and the man she did research with, so only the latter three received it.
